Running at 1000 Mhz stable now!

I installed the enhanced linux kernel for power users with the ideal settings and changed the maximum CPU frequency to 1000000.

My N900 is running simultaneously Sygic Maps, Stellarium, Conky, Beneath a steel sky, a song in media player, x-terminal, wifi-eye, battery-eye, tuxrace, chess, and microb loading a website SUPER-fast!

I can switch through these programs very fast.

Running all these programs now since 20 minutes.

No change in temps.

I'm so happy right now. Thanks to titan and all other people who made this possible.

P.S.
The camera is loading very fast too when I open the slide.

Hi,
Can I'm running Maemo25 and Ideal Kernel.
It have already the "ignore nice load" script?

Actualy i dont know what it does, and if its better to activate it or not (i use CPUFreqUtil to do that).

I've read http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=189 but..nothing .. can anyone explain this please.

Quick question (don't have time to read the whole thread):

I notice that the newer kernels have 500 mhz as the lowest frequency. I still use a 125-800 kernel from about page 100 of this thread. Should I update? I'm assuming there's a reason why 125 mhz was upped to 500mhz. Thanks for the reply!

If you dont have time to read all thread, just read: http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking .

Your 125 Mhz kernel is 'slow': try to autorotate a picture in photo gallery, and look it slowing (1 reason).

Your 125 Mhz kernel may have that bug that resets the Max. Freq. to 600 Mhz, after a phone call. (2 reasons)

This 500 Mhz kernel, is saving the same or less battery then yours 125 Mhz. It uses same or less voltage (check the wiki to know the correct values) (3 reasons)

The phone will increase responsive since the idle mode. (4 reasons).

But..Read the wiki, i'm sure you'll get your awnsers.

Do you have any other changes beside updating the CPU? Starellium is a CPU hog. Interesting that it works for you so well. I normally hit ram and flash drive access limitation when running so many applications concurrently. E.g., doing scp 1GB files over wireless LAN can slow things down considerably.

I'm trying to use Titan's ideal kernel by following this guide. But it's just happening nothing.
I don't get any error.

I'm losing it somewhere too. So I'm just waiting for the merry-go-round to stop, and I'll get on.
