have to run, see ya later
So let me get this right,

1/ I work on a rig and i'm lucky? Rationalle behind that please

2/ I'm a hypocrite cause.. i work on a rig?? Again quantify that one for me.

3/ Cause i work on a rig i get called a ****** ... i take it offshore workers are not your cup tea.

Yes i dare to nag about being told lies, i'm just funny about things like that.

These lies that i speak of were intimated to me not by a retailer but Nokia themselves.

So i put it to you why should people like me have to put up with misinformation and stone cold lies when i am prepared to shell out my hard earned cash on 2 of their devices.

Remember i never forced them to give me that date they offered it and i made solid plans around it, only to once again be let down.

I do regret that i have embarrassed you by being in this communty and sincerely hope that not all here are as judgmental as yourself.
Some salesmen were trying to get you to buy the thing and told you a date that they wanted to believe was real. You wanted to believe it was real too and chose to accept his version of the truth. On the other hand a lot of people on this forum were trying to warn you that those dates were unrealistic. You chose to ignore those people because you liked the other version of reality better and figured that if it was wrong you would just blame it on the sales men. Now, reality has set in. The people who based their expectations on the facts were correct. The people who chose to base their expectations on what sales people said are disappointed.

I am not saying it was all your fault. The people who lied to you share quite a bit of the responsibility for your disappointment. But venting it on the people who are there to try to help is not the answer. I would say, file a complaint and be a little less gullible next time.

GUYS- PLEASE-
Maybe we should take a L-O-N-G deep breath and cool down .

Everyone is jarred off with having to wait and having false dates given to them - and many people (including myself) have had these delays cock things up royally for them- but surely this MANLY b*ll*cks isn't getting anyone anywhere.

When I CALLED MPD they seemed really good, just remains to be seen if what they told me was true.

Basically I called them as T-Mobile said if I applied for a new contract via MPD it would be declined at the credit check, due to me already having a contract with them. MPD said that is pure BS as I had already passed the credit check (money had temporarily been put on hold on my account) but the contract does not start until the phone ships.

Basically, I will not know who is right until the N900 come in stock. I will be pissed if MPD were wrong though as it would mean I have to then save and buy the N900 outright which would suck as I wanted a second line with T-Mobile anyway so its like getting the N900 for £90 if all goes well.

I posted this in that other thread as well.

Well I thought I would give you guys some scraps to munch on.

This is in reference to that shipment from Korea.

It's going to Nokia Distribution & Online Retailers that took pre-orders first.

Yup, pure BS. I have an existing contract with T-Mo, and ordered an N900 on another T-Mo contract with no problems.

Yes, I think they just wanted me to order a phone directly via them instead as that way they pocket more money.

Silly as I made it quite clear that I wanted the N900 and they made it quite clear its unlikely they will be offering it.

Decided to have a wee strop again and tell them that i will cancel my order, fortunately they didn't have my accout details and i am currently waithing patiently for the next delay.

I know going loco down the phone isn't big nor clever but it makes me feel a hell of a lot better and it's something i will look forward to doing everyday until the device arrives. I've only had the one operator hang up on me but i am working hard to make this rise to at least 2 a day.

I know EXACTLY how you feel...I was emphatically told by Nokia UK on Monday evening that they had devices in their UK warehouse & that I would have my parcel by Thursday (today). I only rang them up because they called me about two weeks ago (to ask if I still wanted to pre-order & to confirm my card details) & swore blind to me that they would ship my phone on the 9th November. After checking my shipping status online on the Monday evening it became apparent that I had been misinformed...

I know that customer service staff can make mistakes - often due to the fact that they have been misinformed themselves from further up the management chain - but I'm sad to say that the Nokia UK Online Store have p*ssed so many people off that doubtless very few people will ever use them again.
