From reading on this forum, it doesn't seem like any of them have been filled.
Also, I asked the question of price matching to other sites that are selling the n900. He said nokia.com doesn't pricematch, and that they (and their authorized retailers) were the only one's shipping the phone at this point. I asked "who are your authorized retailers in the US?", to which he replied "dell.com and buy.com". I said "so these retailers can ship now?", and he replied "yes". I asked "what about amazon.com?" and his reply was "they will not be allowed to ship unitl the end of the month. Only nokia.com and it's authorized retailers will be shipping this product now". This reps info seems to go along with what I've been reading is happening in the forums. I wish I had just copied and pasted the chat session into the forums here, but I've quoted it as stated. Thought this might be info you guys wanted to see.
This makes me so angry. Why even ALLOW pre-orders from non "authorized retailers" if they won't be able to ship till an arbitrary time? What are nokia.com, dell.com and buy.com orders? pre-pre-orders? This would have been good information to have put out officially.... THREE MONTHS AGO

I agree totally. This is the worst handling of a product release I've ever seen. I'm almost to the point of thinking that Nokia might be doing this on purpose, just for the popularity it is bringing the device. Granted, it's not all positive, but it is getting the device talked about and anticipated more than if it had been a smooth launch. It reminds me of how Apple created artificial "demand" for the release of the very first iPhone. There were "limited amounts" on sale at each store for the first few days of release, making people line up just for a chance to get one. But, there was no real shortage of devices, Apple just purposely shipped only a few to each Apple and At&T store each day to create the lines and "look" of a high in demand device, generating more buzz. Apple even admitted this later. But, that was handled pretty smoothly, and there were at least devices getting into the public's hands. This is just piss-poor planning by Nokia.

Hah, if Nokia expected People to Lineup near retail Nokia Store in
NYC from 3AM, then this release or PR marketing team def failed. While I still buy the phone, Im getting less and less attracted by it.

I just received an email "Your order 151704 from Nokia US Online Store has been shipped" for my September 23rd Preorder.

Fedex is saying it was picked up in INDIANAPOLIS, IN and will be delivered tomorrow. The service type is "Standard Overnight" I guess Nokia gave us free shipping upgrades. Although I originally ordered overnight shipping and would have done so on the reorder if Brightpoint allowed.
