Why not click at the bottom of my signatures. Mine never stopped working when I plugged USB in. Also at the same time it is boosted to 120. And fully operated in all frequencies from 77.0 to 107.9

Hey I was using my n70 to tune in to my n900. And I was able to recieve good reception 2 meters away from my n70. And that's without any modifications.

The obvious way to increwase the FM transmitter power is to used a properly tuned aerial...

***somehow*** attach an 1800mm peice of wire in place of the original aerial. This is 5/8 the centre frequency (98MHz) and could potentially give just over 3dB of gain (double power).

Hi tried using the fm-boost which on enabling says the fm power has been set to 118 but when i checked with the script which checks what my device fm power output is it still shows 113 which is also what i get when boost is not enabled. I've also noticed the quality drops to quite poor when my n900 is connected to in car charger! Why can i not change my fm power output?

It has been said before by me, click on the second signature if you wanted to set your fm transmitter boost to 120. Did you not have eyes to read just 5 posts before yours? Anyway follow my tutorial and you'll never need to worry about FMTX power output ever again. I can easily get 15m distant with mine.

Hi thanks maxximuscool but i dont have a access to a server or SSH which is what that method says doesnt it as i am a neewbie. I am not too concerned about having extra frequencies all i want is better fm transmittion and specially when in car charger is connected.

You don't need SSH to do it, SSH is the easiest way to do it. You can use commandline as well.

download the fmtxd.zip
extract it and then via xterminal:

root or sudo gainroot
cp /path/to/fmtxd /usr/sbin/
chmod +rwr /usr/sbin/fmtxd
fmtxd -d
killall fmtxd
fmtxd -d

download customSwappiness.tar and extract it.

cp /path/to/customSwappiness /etc/event.d/

Install FMTX-Faker

enable FMTX via setting. You should get "Unable to blah"

killall Fmtxd
reboot

Done. Just convert the SSH to commandline in a second how easy is that?

With the hack modification you'll get:

* Unlocked FM transmitter frequencies from 76 Mhz to 107.9Mhz
* Incrementing of 0.1Mhz (76.0Mhz, 76.1, 76.2..)
* Full power FMTX 120 perminantly
* No charging intefarance and FMTX bugs and disconnection
* Reconnect and enable automatically when switch to phone calls.

What more do you not want?
