You can separately adjust the CPU and DSP. Overclocking the DSP didnt really make any difference I think, as I dont have any good way to test it. I put it from 430mhz to 540mhz. Overclocking the video accelerator is going to be a much trickier part as I dont think its driver is open source and not really that useful just yet.

I think the DSP is mostly used for media processing, encoding and decoding H.264 for example. Testing 720p (or 1080p @1020/540 ) playback would probably be a good benchmark, but I guess the applications and codecs aren't ready for that at this point?

I got only my laptop with Ubuntu 32bit with me currently and as i'm total noob with Ubuntu and Linux in general i would appreciate if somebody could post detailed instructions.
I do already have the zImage i need.

I'm interested to know what speed difference you notice using flash websites.

For instance is grooveshark.com usable?

without dsp OCed, it starts it, you can hear smthg for less than 1 sec and then "buffering" (n900 OCed 900mhz)

Could you email me the kernal for operating at 800 mhz please?

I fully understand that worst case it'll destroy my N900, but from what I've done before and what I've read, 800mhz seems a pretty safe overclock for the N900.

Would love to try anyway.
