I think it's related with python. Try this:
Code:
apt-get install python2.5-sip4=4.10.5-maemo0
or see this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=61687
I fixed mine!
However installing "apmefo_0.10-2_all.deb" posted by Hrw seems to install the updates for python making all apps that depend on those libraries useless (they don't work due to some incompatibility between different versions of the python libraries).
So just install the repository version (0.9-6).

But I dont want that, I'd like the other default stuff there. So when I try to move the folders away or bring contacts, web etc to the first icon by holding it for 3-4 seconds, then all the apps inside the apmefo created folder come out and become scattered. And then I have to arrange it all back again. Please help.
Have the same problem. Can anyone help me ?

If it's from the repository, did you install one of the programs that's been known to cause it to glitch by having a space in the wrong part of it's .desktop file? (Namely, if you reflashed to PR1.3, did you install Gas-Balls?)

First thing, you go to /usr/share/applications/hildon on your N900 (either from terminal - assuming you have rootsh installed - or from something like Filebox, etc). If you have gas-balls, open gas-balls.desktop and change the line that says:
Name = Gas-Balls
to
Name=Gas-Balls

If you don't have Gas-Balls, or that doesn't fix it, then go through all the other .desktop files in there, and make sure there's no spaces before and after the equal sign in the name line.

Or you can download the latest version made by Hrw - his version already fixed that bug.
Thank you so much, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it was not working.

Apmefo 0.11-1 uploaded to #maemo extras-devel - please test it as there will be no updates soon...

Hey Hrw, thanks for the work...
I would like to test 0.11-1 but I couldn't find it in the extra-devel repository.... maybe I understand incorrectly and the extras-devel you mentioned is something else?

Same problem honestly. I never got an update for my ApMeFo itself, and I can't find it seperately. Using FApMan. I tested it with the stock App manager too.

Is it not in the 'user' category, thus precluding the app managers from showing it? (apt-get -s upgrade [I don't like running upgrade 'for realz'] doesn't show up either.)

I suspect if it uploaded correctly, it's both as a new package, and without the user category, making it hidden. That or it didn't upload correctly.

It failed to build - need to find time to resolve that. When it will happen? One day...

Currently this app is giving me some memory leaks after uptime of 6 or more days. It of course could be bug in hildon-desktop. Hildon-desktops virtual memory size keeps constantly on growing. Currently after itīs virtual size ( i do know that virtual size doesnīt tell us enough) has grown, from htop VIRT column, to over 110 mb my apps start slowing down and camera app takes quite long to start.

I have installed mohammadags hildon-desktop:
http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/...+0m5_armel.deb
And apmefo 0.9-6.

Please give me info how to log this behaviour. Quite nice app but to make it perfect it needs some honing.

First off ty for a super program ,, but if someone could please explain how to re-arrange the icons and have them stay put instead of going into a semi alphabetical order (If possible), TIA
