Maybe just something like that

Code:
if (!powerUser)
{
    // do the stuff to dumb it
}

I am probably off topic, but I have to say what I expect from CSSU team most. To prepare a maemo fork. Fully featured Maemo fork.
Maemo cannot survive forever. But Qtmoko can. SHR can.
We will loose it forever if there would be no fork.

The fork it is possible to install instead of using CSSU.
The fork which would be ported to other devices as well.
It is now possible to use Firefox OS and even Ubuntu Phone on Nexus with modern hardware, but not Maemo.
Some may say - we have mer/Nemo. Yes, we have mer and we have Nemo. But Nemo is not Maemo. Maemo will die without a fork.

Maemo has a big problem: Nokia proprietary, closed packages, which are essential! They cannot be recompiled for a new device. If we received the source code....

which exactly packages you are thinking of? As my understanding is that besides telephony stack (which has ofono as FOSS replacement) and mce (which we can RE if needed) most of the other stuff could be either replaced or simply ignored.

As I see it, the biggest problem with moving Maemo forward is the lack of HW replacing n900, not the SW side of the things(from Maemo POV). Ofc one must not forget that this imaginary HW should have SW/drivers/bootloader open enough to be replaced by another OS.

I`m more and more convinced, that adding "End all" button in task manager will be a good, usable and practical thing.
Like this:

Button should have "hardcoded" red colour of the "x" mark (ignoring themes configurations) to differentiate it from regular "close" button.

1. smarter alarms - don't ring when it's a public holiday in the calendar
2. better MfE integration (i can't see attendees, those who have accepted / declined, attachments in calendar entries, etc)
