Just spoken to a very nice lady at the Winchester store who happened to have personally processes my order yesterday so I should FINALLY get it today.

Seems we were right all along though, MPD online made a real cockup of this whole thing. They referred too many orders to each store who are under-stocked in N900s, under-staffed and generally not very pleased that they have to call so many people to confirm the card details.

So I have to agree with what has been said elsewhere in this thread. If you can find out which store yours is sent from, give them a call. The staff working in the stores are pleasant even under these dire circumstances.

good job! Sound like I'm gonna have to ring them and find out where the damn phone is...I'll ring nokia retail first then find out what store my phone is at, do you think i should just say"Hi, i'd like to know which store my N900 order is being processed please"?

Hey- pic attached.
Despite them saying they couldn't find an order with my surname on yesterday, mine did actually come from Manchester.
Testing my old sim first. Be careful; with the sim holder it's very delicate

My headphones aren't the same either- but i knew they wouldn't be as I checked the model number ages ago and noticed they weren't.. bit sneaky that on Nokia's part.

Nice one Alex,

That gives me hope - you'vebeen my yardstick on this page having I ordered the same day as you, and was told on Friday mine was already dispatched too plus your general levels of frustration match mine. Hopefully mine will be received today too.

Don't be too dis-heartened, I'm only recounting my previous experiences, your depot might be different, could say pick up 4 hours after failed delivery or something like that. Like I say this is Royal Mail, there is no standard across all depots, they seem to operate slightly in different regions (with regards to collecting failed deliveries anyway!).
