but rather have n900 , its way better than torch 2.

That's what they do. They are changing the protocol, so ovi chat is no longer XMPP which basically means all my contacts there are lost.

...you can add any XMPP account to your contact roster on GTalk, so just copy them across...?

This is what I wrote them (Nokia);

NOKIA stop this madness with the messages from ServiceBuddy@OVI.com !!
Many people get 30 to 50 messages per day !
But there is no way to stop it;
I changes setting on the ovi website to no service messages
I cancelled me@ovi.com as emailaddress on my N900.
STOP
Idiots...
