Hey all.

Long time since I've posted anything here on TMO, though I'm occasionally dropping by.

Taken with my Huawei p30 pro.

Only blurred in the top and bottom.

Here's my perfection for this month:

__________________________________________________

Xperia XA2, Advanced Camera, no processing.
The next day I cycled home over the ice, in the direction the picture was taken, the larger part of my 10km commute. Glorious!

That's really nice. No phone camera I've ever had took good night pictures. I've got a used XA2 Ultra on the way, hope its camera works as well as your XA2.

(I have a "real" camera, a Nikon Coolpix 5100 from many years back, and sunsets are its strong point, IMO.)

Perfect excuse to get a bigger monitor to view it better!

On my desk is already a 25 and a 24 inch monitor. There is unfortunately not more room for bigger ones.
Anyway, i doubt it would change a thing, even with a 32 Inch Monitor. The pic is in my opinion really brilliant for a pic made with a smartphone in dark conditions. Of course there is some noise and sharpness could be a bit better, but who cares! There is also some noise on the photos of Ansel Adams and I'm no pixelbeeper.

The only things I don't like are the crossing traces in the snow, but they are hidden quite well in the dark. And the moon could stand in a more pleasing position.

Any of these flaws, could be easily solved via image processing. Anyway I prefer less heavy editing on our competition.

Composition and colours are in my opinion beyond any doubt.

^ why thanks!
It wasn't quite as dark as it looks when I made the picture. I noticed that my Xperia XA2 makes really nice pictures, but totally sucks in even slightly darker conditions. Apparently this was just on the edge.

The colours, and a perfect gradient. Plentiness of snow and most importantly ice on the sea. Nothing I love more about winter than walking on the sea! You can get to these tiny islands that are only reachable by boat in summer. On one of them I even noticed smoke coming from a chimney.

Unfortunately it's all melting away again...

My vote goes to #3 Fellfrosch

Not that mine is much worse, but that's a kitchen window view to beg for.
