I like the update with the flickr feed. I few days ago when I first tried it out I just had different clocks on all 4 because I didn't quite have a use for anything else. Now I have mojo's 1 and 3 set to the flickr feed, and mojo's 2 and 4 show the date and/or time. Makes for a good slideshow.

One question about the flickr mojo. Are the photos being scaled to fit within the picture frame? That would be the best option, but it seems like they are getting cropped. A lot of the time it looks like the focal point of the image is cut off.

Or it could just be the pictures....

@Nelson: thanks a lot for the credits. And also for testing the
whole thing out. I had a lot of positive critics about the project
but with you it is the first time that someone realy says
that he uses the Mojos tacticaly.
It's the first time that someone gives me the feel that the
site is more or less usefull. Thank you!

About cropping pictures: yes, the pictures are scaled and
if necessary then also cropped. The reason is simple.
The n8x0 models, the Playstation portable and also the
Archos 7 have a landscape screen resolution of 800x480 pixels.

If the flickrphoto is not shot in a landscape view,
the system scales the photo proportionaly so that
it fits the 800pixel width.

I know that this is not so nice, but my brain is too dumb
to know how to tell the flickr API to choose landscape
images only

I Hope i could be of help,
Carlos

Repost from original mofocafe thread :

Hello

I love mojocafe but I love chumby more and I don't want to choose.
Why don t you submit your mojos as chumby widgets ?
Both will be available on your N800 with grumby.

@JeromeV: i also like the Chumby gadget but i would now compare
it to the Mojocafe. It's close the same but there are some things
more different and reasonable enough why i did not baught me
a chumby....

First: Amount of Chumby-Widgets
There are 7.4 billions of chumbies out there. At first that might
be like "WOW!" but then you have to realize that there are is a
lot of rubbish doulbe and triple cloned.
At this point i want to try to offer quality instead of quantity
with the Mojocafe Mojos.
By the way: in my opinion that's also the same reason why
the Apple APP store for the iphone will sooner or later crash.

Second: Widget size
The chumby widgets work at 320x240. My aim is to offer the
widgets in any possible size remarkable for a mobile mass device.
320x240 is PDA/PPC and meanwhile first mobile phone size, but
a lot of UMPCs and surf-tables out there offer different sizes.
The "chumbies" on these devices do not look so good at 320x240.

Third: Many devices - same widgets!
With the Mojocafe you can have the same widgets on your
mobile phone as the ones of your UMPC or surf tablet.

Chumby is a great product i think, but it is limited to the device.
My opinion

Thanks for adding the Guardian mojo.

Just tried to add it to my Mojo's and it won't let me! Do I have to empty my mojo's first and then add it to a slot? I have chosen the Mojo I want and clicked on "add to slot 2" and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Strange, have you done it this way after logging in?....

1. click BROWSE MOJOS
2. click on the submenu NEWSFEEDS (third from right)
3. click on the guardian mojos jumb that appears
4. click on ADD TO SLOT #2

I have just done that by myself and it worked out.
Please tell me if this still does now work. I will then try to make an
online video as How-To.

Big greetings and thanks!
