desktop os for a phone: Have you ever had GPS on the desktop? It is marvelous. I am still happy to not not have bought a(nother) notebook but the N900 instead.

I've overclocked my dual-core SGS2 to 1.5GHz before I sold it but I could still switch between apps sooooo much faster using my N900. (especially with camkeyd) Also, copying/pasting text using MicroB, playing a video in the background while multi-tasking, live thumbnails during multi-tasaking etc are just some of N900's highlights which just cannot be compared with any other phone/OS imo.

I really hope the N9/50 is just as effective/efficient in multitasking.
I'll be quite annoyed if I find many things in N900 to be better than the N9/50.

My N900 USB fell out for the second times (first time cost me $120 to repaired) And the second times after a long day of frustration of trying to soldered it back onto the board, I managed to get it back on but still won't charge nor doing data because the 5 pins are not welded on to the board. I rush into JayCar electronics store and bought myself a 0.2mm low heat Soldering Iron. Got home and use a magnifying glass, A LED torch, a Magnet, Epoxy Glue, HairDrier and a tape. Operation was a success

Tested and confirmed working and Glued it all with Epoxy Rock solid.
This device just hard to give up on me somewhat. But I didn't give up on it and it doesn't want to be thrown away either.

N900 is a rock solid and hardworking device
But SGSII will be my second phone I'll use two phones

Damn.. I would buy that off you bro I'm not keen on N9 lol. I'm sure MeeGO will soon be ported to SGSII as well. Just a matter of time. It packed with plenty of juice to do the job.

No normal multitasking (that means, you try to open a non-default mail folder and, while it is being loaded over slow connection, switch to something other. Then, when you return to mail app, it gets current folder lost, and shows default folder again).
Can you explain a litle more about the multitasking in Android or lack there of?
I thought it could run multiple apps just fine.

The main thing about this phone is that its so versatile I mean I havent found a task this thing can not do, which is why I love this phone so much.

I am a Nokia fan since year 2000, i dont remember how many Nokia phone i have used. since i am a smart phone user, N900 still in my first rank compared to Iphone 1st, 2nd, 3rd and the 4th generation, those are **** to me, iphone4 beauty only theoutlook, but the ios is greedy. always fruastrated with sharing files. android is also boring. lack of what i needed for daily. everyword i said is honest to my experience. N900 is slow, but usefull for every feature it has. not just me, my gf, love N900 as a baby. she lost one when she travel to Cambodia. i asked her what other phone you want beside N900? she said she want the same one. other phone suck, and boring. she've been using Iphone4 while her n900 was stolen. after 2 week, i send her a new n900. she happy about it, and we're always enjo free video call.

thanks Nokia
