Anybody know how to install it on the OS2008? I got the Chinook deb, but it complains about needing a whole slew of dependencies; e.g., libasound2, libatk1.0-0, libdbus-1-3, etc.

Why make it all so complicated?
Just go here with your N900 browser:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/m/beta
It will add the repo and download & install Firefox.
