Looks like you didn't get my point

The device itself is not something I'm complaining against but more the most important information a consumer looks for when he sees a device; namely price, release date and availability...

They couldn't specify the above due to M$ restrictions...Well Samsung said Q4 for their phone too just like Elop yesterday...So even after being M$' lapdog, Nokia is unable to give such basic important info out...

This is the same kind of setup I imagined they used for the pics in central park seen in this vid.

Its branding yeah but the sensor is probably the best in a smartphone and the fact that the phone keeps its thin shape but provides decent pictures in even crappy low-light situations is remarkable!

Megapixels doesn't mean anything in terms of quality. The backlit sensor used maxes out at 8.7 megapixels. So??

The pictures in low-light really show off this camera performance. You can hate all you want but its definitely a massive jump forward for smartphone cameras..

lol, on what planet are you living? nokia 808 has the best sensor, period, only jump here is backward, not forward

The spec of the camera are good afaics.
But the confusion with the real pureview camera is wanted by
Nokia and _that_ is a shame also.

If you want to stay on the market of tech loving people and if you
want to sell a _smart_phone, then you have to be true about
the spec and all the marketing stuff.
Especially after all the failures Nokia did in the past.

They have to earn their comeback!

Faking such things is a No-Go.

A MeeGo smartphone with 41MP camera,
a lense cover and some other good spec, that
have been written in this forum already, would have been
a good start.
But on the faking path Nokia will loose even more.
