NFC is Near Field Communication. You can use it for example to touch bluetooth devices and pair/unpair them (well, if the BT device is also NFC enabled). This was demonstrated in one of the N9 hands-on videos.

+1 more RAM
+1 not that thick as N900/N8
+1 car navigation (which would probably not crash every few minutes as Sygic solution does on my N900)

Off topic:
-10 no replaceable battery (makes the device unreliable)
-1 different SIM card size (unable easily to swap SIM cards to other phone as N9 dies, again does not allow to recover from unreliability)
-1 no hw keyboard
-1 no cover for the camera lens
-1 no SD card support (for memory hungry apps as offline wikipedia, additional offline maps,...)

Off off topic: I want one, even if it is expensive, stupid and unreasonable idea.

Can I assume that NFC is refering to "Near Field Communication"?

pros:
- slim
- stylish
- big screen
- gorilla glass
- capacitive

cons:
- capacitive
- no hw keyboard
- no replaceable battery

i'm not putting hw-power in the list, because thats obvious.

i'm not sure... i will not buy it as soon as it comes out. i'll wait for some reviews and stuff.

sim cutter for sim => micro sim: 1$
plastic bit for micro sim => sim adapter: 10 cents.

and 64 gb is already a lot of space (just, less reliable for backups, extreme recovery, other OS, etc...)
