Fr the abc text prediction while using a bluetooth keyboard. I've noticed it comes up randomly during bt keyboard use. Haven't found a reliable way to trigger it. So I think there is some key shortcut that starts it up.

Me too... Usually happens when I'm typing at full speed (ie really fast)...Suddenly, my N800 goes into "I'm an N810" mode and that's it, now I have the giant, slow text prediction bar and reboot is the only way to get the virtual keyboard back and make the bar go away.

Hi;
I never tried get my USB keyboard working prior to Diablo. My female-female connector arrived today. I took my Winows pc keyboard and connected it via the Nokia cable and the f-f adapter.

As the per the warning in the Internet Tablet School,
When I run usb control and hit the host button on the bottom, the tablet pauses for about 5 seconds and then complains: "USB device not supported". However, it works, and the USB keyboard is now the input device when the N810 built-in keyboard is not open. It seems to take the place of the on-screen keyboard.

But, after that, my on-screen keyboard will not pop-up until I reboot! I've tried various things with USB control and with Control Panel. But I can't figure it out.

The problem has nothing to do with backspace. It happens when I am booted to either SD clone or internal, both Diablo.

Help.

Steve

There is indeed a keyboard shortcut; it was something like ctrl+space, which I occasionally hit when typing. You don't have to reboot.

Alright, this may be a bit stale now but I found another thing. In my 770 which is running HE2008 i lost my onscreen keyboard. to get it back i opened Config Editor program (for looking at internal stuff for dbus and such) and found under system/osso/af the setting "slide-open" when i disabled the checkbox, i got my keyboard back.

So for anyone else who was plagued by this on their 770, Look there. Also look for what changes that setting.

Thanks,
Loial
