Hope this will be real, and not just a demo. Really looking forward it can run fully functional Andriod on N900

I suspect that it is because the build quality of the N900 and the memory capacity are far better that the majority of competitors. HTC who make the nexus and the G1 et all do not seem to get the point that more memory means better performance and as yet have not learned the lessons learned from teh G1 where it can now no longer be updated (easily) to Android V2 because there is not enough system memory available to handle the update!

I do hope that an official port of android to the n900 is forthcoming as I like the os and the hardware so it would be a win-win situation (in my opinion!)

The question is not "Why port the android to n900" The question is "Why not port android to n900?" Do not forget that we are (kind of) linux community.

im not saying that Maemo 5 is not nice and all, but just a question can it happen can we get Maemo 5 and Android Dual Boot?

It's for both. If you read the last posts in the thread, you'll see he has received his n900 and is expecting to start developing for it next week.
