Nope, it does indeed fail. Handily, it emails me :-/

I am also going to have to look into how to upload to the autobuilder.
The source for the package in question is built using:

Code:
mud build tf
...after checking out http://mud-builder.garage.maemo.org/

Awesome.

I don't have the bandwidth to install the SDK or scratchbox or I would be giving it a go myself.

Problem identified (the source tarball contained .o and .a files due to silliness in the TinyFugue build system. One small patch later and I've high hopes for the current build going through...

EDIT: ...and it's there in Extras-devel: http://maemo.org/packages/view/tf/ - if anyone is willing to risk it, testing would be appreciated before I open it up for wider testing in Extras-testing

Thanks Jaffa.

I just got done testing out the client and everything that I have tried so far is working great. (triggers, status bar, keybindings, aliases, macros, connections, etc). even the mapper is working.

The only problem is the return shows up as nkpEnt (numeric keypad enter) instead of a return.

You remedy this by adding an entry in your .tfrc as follows:

/def key_nkpEnt = /dokey NEWLINE

But otherwise, everything else is fantastic.

Appreciate it man,

Will

edit: All tf files are located on the rootfs partition. It's only 700k of filea, but.... I am not sure what the appropriate procedure for optification is.

It's easy toad all of the tf-lib files from elsewhere and they are the majority of the space.

I'll try and get this into tf-lib, so it doesn't corrupt userspace.

Yup, I'll get this fixed. Odd, because I thought I checked it (how did you check, OOI?)

~ $ which tf
/usr/bin/tf
~ $

and tf-lib is in /usr/share, not /opt/usr/share

Ah, I think you're confused. The optification is done by maemo-optify which uses symlinks (hence /usr/bin/tf) and a heuristic that only files over 2KB are moved.

So, files in tf-lib larger than 2KB are moved to the eMMC and symlinked back into /usr/share/tf-lib.

So, in other words, it is optified :-)

ah.

so it is.

I was mistaken about what optification was, apparently. Part of the discussion was about how simlinks take space as well.

thanks again.

Hey jaffa. So this new build is only for Maemo 5?

You know what? I might as well shoot my N800 right now.

Too many nifty threads I'm missing out on.
