Good news!

Maemo Community can modify & redistribute shell script /sbin/preinit for open source community projects. See Quim Gil post: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12228#c9

I'm going to add /sbin/preinit script into getbootstate repository and fix bugs in /sbin/preinit...

I wonder what "Yes, as long as this is kept within your OSS community project" means. From Quim's previous answers, he could be meaning that this is fine to redistribute to "project members", i.e. people like you who are working on this, but not to end-users via things like CSSU. I hope I'm wrong.

I guess it means he cannot just post the code somewhere but only include it in his OSS projects. No technical difference, but IANAL.
