sadly maemo.org is dying "all good things must come to an end" but saying that it will be a some what of a very slow death... and i dont see a future in meegoharmattan aka the N9 because it feels more disowned then the n900, which actually had potential to be the next big thing.

Yes, yes, maemo.org is dying and we are the unpleasant sound of wheezes and grunts as the end approaches.

Are you sure BADA OS will have a chance to fight with maemo or iOS?

Me too I don't see any future with Meego. Just remember, two years ago when N900 was announced... At this period of the year the web was full of N900 advertisements. N9 will be a good phone but will not last for a long time like N900. Some people just want a phone to play, listen music, watch movies. Just a few are messing with terminal and apt-get and all of these. People will not know how to use the full potentiality of this phone and will be discouraged.
As a somewhat expereneced linux user, I like GUI's the most but X-Terminal is also good for sudo+aptget.

I am a user who does nt afraid the x-terminal but i use graphic tools most.

The reason that i love n900 is that at all products that i buy, i dont want to feel a stupid oriented customer manipulated of the developers of each (the knowns) brand.

I want to buy a product and be free to enjoy what i bought without be oriented, manipulated and tracked.

When i see the system winners (iphone, android, wp7) i am thinking why we, the users, discourage brands to make devices for humans(with the respect to humans) as n900 and n950
