Action not so much but some would call fishing from a chair sports, so...

Nice shot!

A heron fishing is certainly a bird in action, I'd say. His action requires him to be still, but that's the nature of catching fish, whether in a stream, lake or restaurant.

I really, really wanted to get a nice shot of a great blue heron myself, but no luck on my expeditions.

Also, you shot that from a bike? Wow. While moving? That would be a double-wow.

Ed. better crop, better spelling

Canada goose (Branta canadensis)

No real problem getting in cell phone camera range of these large birds. A nesting female will try to chase you away from her nest.

The bird feeder isn't for them, but songbirds, like Onan, tend to spill their seed on the ground.

As I mentioned above, I really wanted to catch a great blue heron, but no luck.

N9, camera+

It was raining cats and dogs this morning on the school run and my kids found these guys on the pavement ("sidewalk" for our NA friends):

Note:
I took about 20 pictures. About 15 with a Jolla and the rest with the N900. This one came from the N900 and it was the only one that was not completely unusable. All the rest were so fuzzy you could hardly recognize what was on them. Especially those taken by Jolla. I must say it was raining very heavily and the light was not exactly brilliant.

And the guys would not sit still
still this is the winner....

Thank you. Sadly it does not qualify fue to the lack of birds.

Here is my entry. A young man feeding rats with wings pigeons in Oxford. There was a better shot but I forgot to ask the man for a permission to publish his photo so I had to use the shot not showing his face.

Taken on 12th March with a Jolla.

Haha yes, from the bike, hence the motion blur.. because when I stepped of the bike for an attempt for better framing the heron did no longer feel comfortable and took off without a meal.

That morning I knew I would regret not bringing the Nokia 808 with PV zoom )
