What if you try to launch the widget form the commandline?
Helps in debugging, as it shows in the commandline if something is missing and what the app did (or tried to do :-)Code:python2.5 /usr/lib/hildon-desktop/shutter.py

but as soon as I Ctrl-C or close the terminal, the widget is gone from the desktop ..
cd /usr/share/applications/hildon-home
ls shu*
