@PinCushionQueen, e-motion: mplayer will always be stretched to 15:9, this is because we don't know the video size so far, so we create the window with that aspect and mplayer will always scale to fit it. The fix we see (but didn't have yet) is to check the video size and resize the window so it will be the correct aspect ratio.

@stooo: this is a known bug with our usage of OSSO media player and (I think) it was fixed already.

@ barbieri... Great, thanks... looking forward to the next update.

To anyone using a Mac, I've been using Handbrake to encode DVDs to MP4, and visual hub: http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/ to convert old divx and avi stuff to a suitable mp4 format with 400x240 res. It's very easy to use and well worth the $23 shareware fee.

I decode all my videos in AVI format and by changing the
video = mplayer and general = mplayer setteings
to = oms it messes up the youtube plugin.

The work around for this if you are finding the same problem is to leave both of them as mplayer and then under
Media section at the top add the line

"avi = oms"

works like a charm, allowing it to use default for avi and mplayer for youtube.
