Unfortunately, I feel that even when wimax devices and networks start appearing, there is going to be that initial period of adjustment which takes time (perhaps months) to cure and tweak. If the wimax nokia existed when I bought my N810, I still would have stuck with my original purchase, because I just don't see it working properly right off the bat.

I hope i'm wrong, but experience tells me otherwise. When wimax becomes a reality, then the debate on how great it is will be relevant. Please take GeneralAntilles's advice, get it online and forgo the warranty sale pitch.
