Nokia has introduced 4 more channels on video center, one of them, the raindance TV does not work though. Video center>Service Catalogue you see the new channels.

I have upload a new copy of primary3.rar.zip which included many new stations, and ComedyCentral by popular demand. Those do not stream well are gone now. Only either stream well or dl copy render well stays. All Xvid-small have to use mplayer and they render so well that you start to wonder is this really streaming.

To get it into your Video Center:
1) dl this copy to your PC.
2) extract it to primary.db and myvideos.db; I use WinRAR
3) backup YOUR own primary.db and myvideos.db***** You going to write over your own primary.db!!! If you do not care, you DO NOT have to backup
4) copy this into your tablet /home/user/videocenter

assume using default folder:
transfer to /home/user/MyDocs/.documents
xterm
cp /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/primary.db /home/user/videocenter
cp /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/myvideos.db /home/user/videocenter

5) Update

voila, you are done.

VCURLs72 works just fine under diablo, some minor changes and some screen shots.

1) expand the primary3.db.zip file (attached at thread #1, I used winRAR) into 2 files, primary.db and myvideos.db on your PC or your tablet (If you have unzip installed on tablet)

2) and replace the primary.db and myvideos.db at /home/user/videocenter

use file manager would be just fine

If problem with dl, My videos>Menu>File>Remove protection.
Somehow file protection is the default for diablo if you have never use VC before, otherwise you do not need to change anything.

Yes it was successful. I went back through the list and deleted the useless ones (French Maids, etc). Some work and some do not. Some seem to run on mplayer rather than the Nokia media player. After deleting some of the services the updating seems to take even longer. In fact, I haven't been able to update a second time without cancelling out of the update.

I'm not sure what's going on in here (I haven't followed this thread), but here's a suggestion:

1) It would be good if this list was available online for automatic update.
2) It would be good if each station had a tag or tags to briefly describe the type of content.
3) It would be good if this were hosted as a maemo project, with the list available as an XML file on the site (eg. http://maemo.org/channelList/channels.xml)
4) It would be good if the 'list site' had a ratings capability, so that users could rate channels based on reliability, speed, quality, and quality of content

This would likely improve usability tremendously as it wouldn't require people download and install a file. Also with players that use MPlayer as a backend, such as canola, a plugin (python) could be easily written to give the user-friendly players the ability to stream live TV as well as be awesome..
