that does show up in the control panel, but it doesn't work at all. where is the statusbarclock.rc?

Maybe this is just a color problem? When I updated from 0.6 to 0.7 I had the same problem, the status bar clock seems to have gone! - I had color "white" before, and after update it was black so the clock was there but simply not visible.

it doesn't show at all. I also thought it was color, cycled through every color, no go. found and killed a stausbarclock.conf, that's all.

Okay, anyone having trouble try this: reboot, then open the dialog and select a colour to suit your theme. Let me know if that makes any difference.

If you move the plugins all the way to the top of the list when in the control panel "Panel" section, does it display two blank spots at the right of the statusbar? If so, click on the blank spot to open configuration.

If that still isn't working, try changing your wallpaper to "none" temporarily and selecting white as a background colour. Anything there?

I had done all of which you had stated... and when I found the old statusbar-clock.conf and rm'd it, THEN this app worked.

So I'm working right now. Thanks for the help guys.

Just for future reference, the configuration file mentioned is located at:

Code:
/home/user/.statusbar_clock.rc
If you are having trouble, remove this file and try again. I tried keeping compatibility, especially with the change in colour selection, but obviously something broke it. Could someone who had trouble with the file send me their settings? I will look into it.

Only thing I can tell you is that I had just installed: xandr kernel, uninstalled the prior version, switched to a regular solid color background - red png I had laying around - and then had these problems.

I found some other remnants of things, but this one had to have the .rc and .conf file taken out before it worked.
