4GB non-hc trancend sd card, very lightly used, worked fine for ages in my zaurus, used in my tablet for a few months only, died when I (after carefully umounting/ejecting) put in windows card reader - it immediately had errors. Used a

I have another card which went slightly flakey under the same circumstances, but used panasonic formatter and it's fine. I have no proof but my gut feel is that it was taking it out of the n800 and putting into a windows box with usb card reader that did something odd.

For some reason, my 16gb Transcend card showed as unformatted on the N800s file manager when I had kmplayer installed. Other than that, I've used it to ferry large files between computers, and even to back my PS3 up onto, and it's been perfect, with >10mbps speeds at all times. I use an 8gb Transcend card in my Canon Powershot with no problems too. I think you guys with problems were just cursed with a bad batch.

I have the same experience. I'm not able to reach their customer service department as well. My 8GB SDHC got corrupted and now it says, it is not formatted. I was taking a pic and all of a sudden this happened. i'm totally clueless what to do ...Is there any service available to extract data from these?
