You're right, I grabbed the appropriate files out of the .deb and ran it from there, and it worked (although my contacts and recent list were empty). It's just what's in subversion that won't run at all. But it's enough for me to be able to run and make calls.

Thanks.

As a note, I put 0.8.0-9 in svn and added some minor tweaks. So this lacks thumscroll and any other cool tablet love that has been done. Hopefully later Ill dig through extras-devel and grab the files to merge them back up again

I love the threading and holding down on the back button. I also appreciate getting better/different ideas for lazy load, threading without being a pain (for some reason each approach I took came from the wrong angle and added too much complexity), and handling of GTK/Hildon conversion without post-processing.

Does having the separate launch file allow us to now import from the __future__? The with_statement would add a bit more polish to the locking.

Oh and in case it isn't fixed in the 0.8.1-extras-devel, (if I didn't introduce it) I think I fixed the recent tab in 0.8.0-svn. In the changing around of the tab ordering, the populating of the tabs didn't get fixed, so if you went into the account tab, then recent calls would be populated.

Sorry for the version confusion

(I think) svn is fully up to date now. I just pulled the two line change from extras-devel for thumbscrolling. I also fixed an issue with the contacts view.

So in summary, svn has what I've marked as 0.8.2 which in theory has everything in 0.8.0 and 0.8.1 plus
* Combined address book
* A contact bug fix
* A recent calls bug fix

It also has the bare minimum start for gmail contacts and another approach to evolution contacts that might be more tablet friendly. I currently have issues with both though, so not doing too much with it.

epage, I never found a good deal for an N800 a while back, but I'm definitely looking for a way to run this app on my Ubuntu box.

Where is the source or svn located? Thanks a bunch! Sounds like quite an awesome app.

Subversion direction can be found at:

I also failed at getting an n800 so it runs perfectly under Ubuntu. There are still a couple bugs I'm aware of but hopefully for the most part they are masked over and aren't too noticeable.

*sigh* Only if they'd hurry up with the n900....

DialCentral is a PyGTK/Hildon frontend to Google's Grand Central. Last I know of, no more invites are being given out. The app has limited functionality without an account.

Is there anyway you can update the app so that the bottom tabs dont show as blank when using the kobayashi,tritanium or meta themes that were released recently? (see screenshot)

Hey

I am working on an updated version. Its a bit delayed as I fight the extras process (no wonder everyone doesn't put there packages in extras)

This issue seems kind of odd especially since we do not overwrite the theming at all. I wonder if this is actually a bug in the theme. Does this happen with other tabbed apps?
