I had the same screen problem and calibration issue. I found that the ribbon cable on the inside had become separated. Nokia did a great job of repairing it and sending it back to me with what appeared to be a new screen. I would caution that if your flat ribbon cable inside is not making proper contact as one solid piece then there is no way of repairing it yourself. I have a nice case that has (or had) a clear vinyl keyboard cover. I am not certain, but I think sliding the top onto this cover caused the ribbon cable to bind. After a while this binding caused the cable to come un-fused. Beware if you have a keyboard cover. I have since cut mine off and used some velcro on the back battery cover to hold my N810 in my case. Even though that vinyl clear cover seems thin it may be enough to cause this problem. Nokia CS seems to be top notch based on my turn-around time of less than 2 weeks.

found a solution!

my beloved n810 also started to suffer from the mis-calibration, i went to the back porch to play around with it more, & instead of tapping the bullseye center, i circled very swiftly just outside of circle with the stylus until it grayed out.. thus far problem solved ..
