FeedCircuit 0.7.2 is released.
slate.com must work fine now. To achieve best results you need to change some content settings: set "Single page" to "view as single page" and "Content tag" to "div id=article_body".

Thank you for this update--slate.com works perfectly! It is just in time to keep me occupied on my next transatlantic flight.

This promises to be a killer app for my tablet--allowing me to read off-line any on-line magazine or whatever that I don't have time to read when I'm on-line. Certainly this is a much better solution than slate's e-mail service, which only e-mails me the first two paragraphs of a story and then forces me to link to the website.

One question--is it always better to enter the main website and allow the application to find the news feed instead of entering the feed address directly? (For example, it doesn't work if you try the slate xml address, but it works if you just enter slate.com)

Actually, entering feed's url directly must work, but, for some reason, this doesn't work with slate.com and I'm going to figure out what is wrong.

I meant content settings in user interface. They are accessible via button on the right of "Content" combobox on the feed's settings dialog.

P.S. you may also try /home/user/.config/feedcircuit/config

I'd like to make the Feed Circuit pages white text on a black background. I suspect that there is a way to do this with userContent.css. Does anybody know how?

Some of my questions about setting up a userConent.css file were answered here:

Might be worth posting your inquiry there.

Thanks lm2. I figured out how to get the pages to display with white text on a black background:
@-moz-document url-prefix(file://) {
body { color: #ffffff !important;
background-color: #000000 !important;
hyperlink-color: #00ffff !important;
}
:link { color: #00ffff !important; }
:visited { color: #ffff00 !important; }
}

I've just updated FC documentation at http://feedcircuit.garage.maemo.org. There is a paragraph about customizing appearance with style sheets etc.
