Thanks qole,

That looks like a neat set up, It looks like he is not using a conventional usb converter does he? It looks like the keyboard comes with a small cable and he is using a converter mini to regular USB.

Boy too many choices, the one I got I like it because it can be rolled, but it's a bit heavy. On the other hand this one and yours look very attractive,

You still haven't told me :
a- which usb converter are you using there are two types

b- did you have to use the usb controller as shown on the tutorial video

At the moment I have no way of knowing if the Omnitec I bought is going to be compatible since I still need a converter

I just reposted a picture from L0cutus in the thread that jmjanzen mentioned above. I'm very curious about it, too.

The USB converter might be a stock one, or it might be one of the nifty OTG ones you can buy from jolouis' store. I've got a couple of those, they're great.

This keyboard does look nice; I might just buy it myself.

Hi
I see that you are in Vancouver, so in case you can't find it you can always order on line or take a short drive. I am in Seattle myself.

I bought a keyboard similar to the Grandtec at Staples, but it's huge because it has over 85 keys and it weights a lot.

I also was considering getting the Mini from Cyberguys they are about $32 but it looks like the Mini requires a different type of adapter Mini to Regular based on the pix you posted ( I thought you already had one).

They also have the Grandtec which you can fold and still it's heavier than the Mini and requires a conventional USB adapter f to f.

I'm in a quandry myself not sure which one the Mini or the folding one. I"m my way to Fry's (do you have one in Vanc.) they have a Mini and USB f to f adapter. I am going to see what it looks like and the price it's great only $17

Let me know what you decide

I was able to find the adapter and decided to try the keyboard that I got at Staples full size 107 keys, and voila it worked perfectly, but I think I am going to get either the Mini or the other soft keyboard with 85 keys,

Qole have you decided yet?

Hmm, this one at DealExtreme (mentioned in the other thread) looks good too... Free shipping, too...

Hi Qole,

Then it looks like you are leaning toward the mini vs the soft keyboard, and why? I am sitting on the fence, the soft one I like it because you can fold it, but it's a bit heavier and it can withstand dust, liquids.

The mini lighter, doesn't need a hard surface to use. I need to make a decision tomorrow, but so far the full size rolled keyboard that I bought at Staples works perfectly but it's huge sp next to the Nokia.

Your thoughts please

According to the link you sent me jolouis store, it looks like they are out of stock for the usb adapter. Can you tell if the adapter for the mini keyboard is going to be different than for any other keyboard like the Gtec female to female?

I was looking for an adapter w/o any cables mini male to standard male but they only had it with a retractable cable.

I think I would hate the squishy feel of the keys on a rollable keyboard.

As for the jolouis USB adapter, I don't think he makes the basic version anymore, try the much nicer swivel adapter.

Thanks I need it a bit of a confirmation. I am feeling a bit ambivalent about it too, besides you need a hard surface to use it, and it attracts dust like a magnet. I wanted because I want to take it on the road, and sometimes I may not have a hard surface to use it maybe my knee.

As far as the adapter, do you think that I could use the f to f that I bought yesterday. I saw a similar to the one sold by EPO for 13 US dls at a local store.

Where do you plan to get your mini keyboard from Cyberguys, I think you sent me their link they also sell adapters, if not let me know I'll send it to you.

So the final question is to know if I could use the same usb adpater and then I'm going to go ahead and place the order tomorrow, I am going on a trip Dec 7 I hope I can get it by then
