you have to install from command line with 'dpkg -i tangogps_0.9.3-1_armel.deb'

The maintainer has to apply the patch to the modified sources of tangogps so he can provide a new deb file. This one will be installable from app manager. So you have to wait for a new version or just use a terminal.

Root shell enabled

BusyBox v1.6.1 (2008-05-22 10:32:35 EEST) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/home/user # dpkg -i tangogps_0.9.3-1_armel.deb
dpkg: error processing tangogps_0.9.3-1_armel.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
tangogps_0.9.3-1_armel.deb
/home/user #

Ok,I acknowledge I'm a linux n00b but did I just type this all wrong?

p.s. I'm whacked out on cold meds so this is a trip...(achoo!)

Are you sure that your deb file is correct? Please download the file a second time and try it again.

For me the same:
"Unable to install tangogps. Incompatible application package."

Probably has the developer added the wrong packages / repositories to the .deb file.

UPDATE:
Using dpkg -i tangogps_0.9.3-1_armel.deb from the shell did work but it does not recognize the GPS.

Can it use Maemo mapper maps ?

Sounds like an error from the app manager. You can't install tangogps from app manager!! (!!!)

Hi all,
Wonder if you could advice: since the dpkg command doesn't work (the same error as all the other seem to be getting), I've downloaded this file too but what do I do with it? Is it installable one? It says it fixes the bug but should I trig it in some way?
Anyway, can you tell me just how this app can be installed?
