Because unified account databases are neither simple to implement, easy to maintain, nor particularly stable.

maemo.org is not a commercial product with controlled marketing, though. Progress goes in the best way the community can push it. Look at this new thread to know about the status of single sign-on and help out Daniel getting it done.

text typing on the search above is not visible on the tablet, i only suppose the texte is entered then hit Go. i do not know if it is a known issue or it is due to the theme i use anyone noticed it, that migth be the colors on the site being used if anyone can comfirm.
