my problem is not battery but the amount of data being exchanged as i am not on a data plan. so it gonna cost me a lot. on my n97, it just connect to the net, send my email and dsconnects. how to do the same with the n900?

i dont get it? why will it cost if u dont connect to your network?
There is an app called autodisconnect http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...683#post794683 use it and you will be fine
