Just another thought Kevven, you have set up the homegroup network thing and enabled network sharing on Windows 7, right?

Having problems myself with this. Can navigate the folder structure of my Win7 laptop but can't see any files.

Probably related but I can't seem to change the "Shae with" from "nobody" to "Homegroup" on windows!?

With WMP ,I can play all my audios files , but only somes off my videos ( my videos are on the same folders and same format) and I cant see my pictures.
It works fine for me if I use ORB or XMBC but still ca'n see any pictu

Can't get it to find anything on my Vista PC!

try using the file manager to launch the videos on the shared media servers. i discovered that launching the video file through the file manager works in many cases where the media player would give an "unable to find media file" error. i also found that win7 sample wmv and hd mpeg files don't play either way.

when playing videos from a shared media server, you aren't able to seek in the stream, i.e. fast forward or rewind. this makes streaming much less attractive.

I am able to see my playlists/media in the media player and file manager after enabling media sharing in Windows Media Player in my laptop. But I am not able to see the songs under the playlists. It shows empty playlists. The playlists are created under Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\My Music\My Playlists. Any help?
