ok, if your in an area that has equal 2.5 and 3G signal the phone will bounce between the two, not a big deal IMO. 3.5G is only used in data transfer, so yes if you have widgets that pull from the cloud your going to see alot of hopping back and forth from the different networks.

Are you using an old sim card or a new sim card? Has the sim card been registered to the IMEI of the N900? I have seen problems reported in the Nokia forums with users putting old sim cards into the N900 and having reception and power management issues. Many of these issues are resolved when a new sim card is used and/or IMEI is registered.

FLV support can be installed separately. The packages are on its way to maemo-extras. The Zoutube app brings them along.
