Hello!
I am in Sydney, Australia and have been eyeing out the N900 for a long time, ordered it on Amazon back in Oct and finally got my new phone yesterday!

I find this terribly ironic, since the OS is named Fremantle after the Australian city.

I somehow doubt it was named after the Aussie town :P and if it is WTF Nokia!
But yes it is annoying that Australia is left out (this is what happens when a country only has about 22 million people)
I ended up ordering from Amazon via an Aussie importer and can see the tracking details and its almost here

The point is not in flooding or being angry in any sense. It is a point of getting value for money and to understand your role as an end user. Firmware is not yet ready, this is for sure for so much reported unstability. Applications are lacking important features - please comment which new features are there in n900 applications to bring you any new value? Also the point of linux - are we users or are we developers?

I don't understand your definition of value.
If you were to comment what features you value and how you realize that value you will find that not everyone finds value in the things that you do.
If my phone could whip up the perfect Pina Colada it would be of no value to me. I would want it to prepare a tasty Margarita instead.
As far as the firmware is concerned saying it is not ready or unstable is based on what? The number of threads posted is not any indicator and an open forum certainly isn't the most reliable source for accurate data... but even so. In the poll's that I have seen on many forums, there are relatively low percentages of people reporting problems.
So, is your statement based on your opinion?
