The N900 has an onscreen keyboard. I think Maemo 6 (incl. a Maemo 6 device) is further off into the future than people think. I think Nokia will focus on Symbian^4 first, then Maemo 6 as far as devices go. I think we will see more Maemo 5 devices before we see Maemo 6. These devices will be variations around the N900. Maybe one with larger screen, and maybe a smaller one? who knows.

Err, you do know that the folks who work on Maemo and S60 (Nokia's version of Symbian) are seperate teams don't you?
My reading of the things released is that there is a slim possability of Nokia supporting Maemo6 on the N900, and the next device will be running Maemo6 (probably with a capacitve screen), this will be officially announced very late in 2010 (i.e November or December!).
My guess is that the S60(Symbian) teams will continue to work on mid range phones, with *MAYBE* one high-end model to update the N97
