what I plan to do is remove all the repositories and them put them in again manually, and enable only the extras repository and keep the extras testing and devel ones disabled.

Its very annoying especially to a newbie like me

I had an idea last night. You could try to open a browser on the N900 and your PC and navigate to the web addresses of the Nokia repository. They should work, if not (and the URLs are indeed the same) then it might be an internet connection issue.

I'm not sure I follow what your saying sir? I've deleted the extras testing and devel repositories and hit refresh, but still the nokia app and nokia system software repository will not refresh.

The URL's are correct, I've checked them out. It must be an internet connection issue? But i have no probs surfing the net with wifi.

That's sort of my issue as well. Also, I tried going without WiFi (my home doesn't have it, and I popped in a sim card) and it seemed to make no difference.

If you have many repositories installed, you can press and hold on the application entry to get info on it. The repository the app belongs to can be seen at the bottom of the summary page.

Probably not, although I can't be sure as I've never had to reflash mine in the month that I've had it.
