by enabling extras-testing and extras-devel, you're not an end-user anymore.

without this distinction clearly mentioned, i find the thread title misleading.

Or it could be that they LISTEN and dont install random apps from Extras-devel. Could it be that rather than them not using it to its full potential, you are just a clown?

Your saying that people have to be prepared to reflash it every now and then and that it simply WRONG!

As You can see on most of these comments (and Your poll BTW) this is NOT the case for most of us...

Yeah.. this thread should really specify:
"If you're going to be TESTING with your device - You are likely to need to reflash."

Even then it's not entirely accurate though... as I have seen no less, and at least, 3 different scripts in Shell, Perl, and whatever else that detect, move, report, or otherwise inform people of non-optified apps that can be removed.

So, if you know what you're doing.. recovering without a reflash is possible.. if you aren't the best at CLI.. then yeah - a reflash is probably easier after installing every app known to man from the repositories that specifically say.. don't.. install every app.. known to man...

But a phone "reaching its state of full potential", is different for every user. Not everyone is an app hound.

"For me", this phone will be absolutely perfect, once there is slingbox/HAVA access, via an app or web, and louder call volume. However if no other apps were created, nor firmware released, I would be totally happy with it in its current state.

If you were having so much trouble from the onset, for issues other than installing unproven apps, why not just return it for another?

your poll is 1:26.. i think your the only one who flash the phone within 1 week!.. got mine since dec 3.. and never done flashing..
