This is my last bill:

I pay 12€ per month for essentially unlimited data traffic with Vodafone Spain. The speed is a bit slow though (only 3Mbps), but I have never felt the need for more. However, should the need arise, I would be able to increase the speed to 7.2Mbps paying 15€ per month (there are higher speeds, up to 21.4Mbps, but I would have to use an USB modem for that and of course they are more expensive).

Besides, as you can see above, I don't make many normal calls these days, as most of them are done via SIP (it works beautifully with this little N900 gem).

Greetings

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

There's a bit of a bug/issue/overlooked feature with CPW's computer system, if Vodafone didn't know about the upgrade you could of walked away with a free N900, it happens more times than the company's willing to admit

Dang, I may have to get a part time job @ Tmobile just to get the employee phone plan.

I pay like $70 a month for 2 lines on a AT&T family plan and have no data at all just like 550 minutes + free night and weekend. (me and my mother never use the phone so we have like 3000+ roll over minutes)

It would cost me $15 a month just for Edge service and I dont think its worth it for how often I would use it.

Actually to be fair Vodafone must love me, I only use my internet between 12 and 4am! Very fair usage as everyone else should be sleeping...

On a side note I only managed to use so much because 3.5g connection gives me 190-450KB/s downloads, and it's such a luxury after dial-up speeds with O2!!
... I've already got Trading Standards on my case ... the MPD/NokiaRetail site said absolutely nothing about fair usage ... and when I spoke to Vodafone about it they agreed that NokiaRetail had competely miss-sold my contract to me so I'm totally with you there! ... even reading the vodafone terms and conditions I was sent it's practically impossible to find out that there are fair usage limits ... good luck putting Vodafone off lynching you tho!

Does anyone know how much Vodafone actually charge for exceeding their "fair use" policy?

I know from the Dataplan widget I downloaded that i've topped 1GB, even though the counter on Vodafone's website seems stuck at 170MB. I've tried calling them, and all they've said is that 500MB is "13,000 pages" of internet. And he didn't know what happens if I go over.

13,000 pages of what? Skype? Firmware updates?
I hate it when people can't distinguish between "Internet" and "Web". Annoys me enough when my grandmother mixes them up, but the world's largest phone company? C'mon..

I asked in store too, only to be told by a very rude woman that she's "worked there for two years, and has never seen anyone exceed their limit"
Apparently "even buisinessmen using blackberrys never go near the limit"

So she can't understand that a poweruser with an N900 can use more data than a man in a suit sending and recieiving 10kb+ IMAP emails all day?

heretics, the lot of 'em. Rant over.
