i added a tag but don't make a habit of it..)
ive got loads of posts and can still only create 2 tags (which i think its grossly unfair)
when i want to tag subject, usually ive got 4 or 5 real keywords that relate

bite my shiny metal tag!

Thanks for that reply mmurfin87, and it goes both ways.

I have been watching the tags here and I didn't see any really bad. I do agree that they should NOT be used for malicious purposes. Maybe you and I have different thresholds for that definition, but if anyone uses tags in overt malicious fashion I think their ability to tag should be removed or restricted.

That said, most of the tags tend to be harmless albeit occasionally aggressive (ie, "bite my shiny metal tag"). I don't want this place to be antagonistic but at the same time I hope we approach dialog here with a fairly thick skin.

EDIT: I see our stealth moderator has been at work.

Like food and bowel movements for 3 year olds, tags are the last bastion of passive-aggressive control for posters.

You need to be a senior member (reach 300 posts).

It looks like the tagging system is being misused. It might be better to just turn off the feature.

Can you block tags to moderators? I've long felt senior member status should be moved over 1000 posts for features like tags
