Same issue is with version 1.0 or 1.1 beta.
Does the page load on reload? Also, would this bug ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535793 ) be your issue?

I could say that I have such issue (neverending loading), but only appears with GPRS connection. With WiFi it works fine.

I think Nightly build of firefox mobile goes by name Fennec as FF mobile was on earlier stages

Recent Fennec update crashed my Firefox! I couldn't even use uninstaller because Maemo installer was crashed when I tried to uninstall Fennec. I resolved this issue by using "apt-get purge fennec" to remove and manually downloaded Firefox debian package and reinstalled it. Recent Fennec update is not good at all! Don't update until there is an official debian package release.

The nightly builds are for developers to test, not for general users. Just stick to the last stable release and you should be fine.

Fennec is what they call the mobile version of Firefox in general. Nightly versions are untested development builds of, for example, Fennec.

Mozilla pulled the plug on supporting Maemo for Fennec. They no longer provide a Maemo version... so future Fennec builds, Nightly or not, that show up for the n900 are put together and compiled by guys from this forum, probably.

Also, this thread is dead. Use the new thread here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=81608

What's the alternative, then? Well, Iceweasel is the Debian rebranding of Firefox. You could get it through Easy Debian.
