it is mainly cached emails that increases backup file size...

The reason is, say you have a gmail account.. set up to imap on you n900. say you go in to the email client, and open an old email with an attachment, thats maybe 10mb big, once you openede this email once on your n900.. its 4ever cached on your opt partition.

All your cached emails are backed up...

If i opened all my old emails that had attachments i could easily reach 1gb backup file

4.5MB, it's always been 4-5MB.

My backup is 75MB.

and i dunno why it is so big.

i didnt think that this unit cached my email for my 6 email addresses, otherwise it would remember my email in my inboxes and not have to update.

i guess so far, MINES THE BIGGEST!! :P


also, my email are mostly imap.

my conversations are pretty cleaned up and only about 15 threads

didnt think contacts were in it, as i though they were stored on the main memory, but i have 1052 contacts, majority with pictures...but that is little bits/bytes

did everyone fall over on the size of my backup? nothing else?
