+1, most of the requests here are just too much, you just can't fit that much h/w in the device without making it too expensive/heavy!

N900 with more metal and less bulky plastic - Motorola droid size would be perfect, 8MP camera and HD recording would be better (not that 5MP isn't enough - it is but 5MP is quite old now considering it was in the N95).

AMOLED would be nice - but not necessary, plus faster processor and more RAM (>256mb)

Its not too much to ask and would be a fair upgrade from the N900.

Other than that keep everything else more or less the same.

Oh USB OTG & a digital compass as well!!!! Google maps on Android ROCK with this!

The N8 covers many points of that design.

the nokia conversation design by community device will not be made into a real device so the arguments are pointless.
they are going to get a designer to mock up a concept render of the device only

I voted as well. A slider keyboard as thin as the toshiba k01would be good.

In fact, put the whole thing into its 4.2" design!

For me, 5mp is the sweet spot for mobile phone camera. As long as the lens is good and processing faithful and fast. What I do want is a digital compass, and a 4 row keyboard would be nice.

Tried a htc desire recently. Please no capacitive screen. I hate doing gestures with the skin on my fingertips, just too much friction. Finger nails are the best for touch input.

But 4 inch screen, 4 row keyboard and xenon would be great

For me nirvana would be a 5" 16x9 bezel-less, thin slider. Really not much bigger than my N900, pocketable, but a large screen.

I'd settle for support for more than one year and popular apps that get updated regularly.

The rest, I'm sure it'll be a disappointment in one way or another to somebody. I just want real support.

The N900 isn't that much bigger than the Moto Droid. Sure the Droid is a little thinner, but it's also taller and a little wider than the N900.

How does ARM Cortex A8 at 1Ghz and 64GB of flash memory sound?
