i just updated my HK N900 to

RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

and

RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin

not i have the same problem, when i try to click on download at Application manager, it will go to the cheking for updates, please wait screen, i will actually run to half way and it just stuck there. also tried to download app from ovi, it will go to the same screen and stuck at the same half way. anyone can help me out?

I have the same problem too, but have got it fixed. This has something to do with the DNS.

If you try to ping the repository.maemo.org, you will get an invalid IP. That is why you will never reach the server. You may need to edit the /etc/resolv.conf with a valid DNS IP. The default one that come with your phone is 127.0.0.1.

Are you using a proxy for your internet connection? cz i have the same problem in my university where i should use a proxy. I can browse the internet but app manager doesnt work.

it should not be the proxy. if you try to ping repository.maemo.org, you will get a wrong IP. After you edit the /etc/resolv.conf with a valid dns server IP and ping again, you will get the correct IP.

WHy does resolv.conf have anything in it anyway? If its getting DNS from DHCP it shouldn't get an entry other than from which ever DHCP source surely?
