First thing is - spare battery!!, Screen protector, Bluetooth headset

Second is - Don't be a ****** and blindly installing apps from Extra-Devel , I've seen a lot suffered.

Thirdly is - if you don't know how to use the device then do a search or ask We're here to help

Don't overclock it for at least a few months. You want to be able to return it if it's defective in some way, and you can't if you overclock it because the warranty is voided. Read the manual and learn how to do the stuff you can do. You don't need overclocking for multitasking, it's just something you will be able to do.

Buying an extra battery isn't a bad idea, and buying a desktop charger is also handy. But there is probably no big rush to do either.

have you ever had anything positive to say in this forum? ever? you obviously dislike maemo/n900 so WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE??!!

For once can you just sit one out and avoid polluting an otherwise productive thread?

You may be interested in a couple threads. One is about the list of "top things" to install on your device. The other is about fixes and work arounds to common issues people have had. Hope they both serve you well. And remember, a quick search in the forums will probably save you hours of frustration!
