I have alos major problems with Nokia Messaging and PR 1.2.
Before, I used Hotmail throu POP3 and it worked just fine (as fine as POP does).
Now with PR 1.2 the email client does not automaticly downloads the mail throu POP3. But manualy send/resive does work.
Well I thought that I shall give Nokia Messaging a try, and it worked quite good for a few days but now it just dosent send the emails.

Where have you heard that hotmail is going to support Exchange?

Yup im facing problems with hotmail as well. Im not getting notified for new emails coming to my hotmail but gmail works perfect like before.
Any ideas as to what to do?

i realize that, notifications of new emails only come everytime you boot your n900, that means without restarting, no notifications are given.

I have also a problem with auto receive email. I use a normal popbox. When I open email it takes a really long time to show my (old) messages. I choose 'back' and Inbox until messages are shown. And sometimes there is new email to see. And sometimes there is no new email. Even when I got it already on my PC.

I'm using IMAP and auto-refresh is on. And mails do seem to be coming in. BUT the notification light or sounds activate intermittently.

There is still the same bug for me with the addressor- and reference-line being empty on my pop account (works well at my imap account) most of the time 
But since the PR 1.2 sometimes my device says an error acured with the email application and it had to be closed...
