Thanks adding the extras-testing has resolved the issue. Strange that it only started to happen yesterday through when the main dependency was not fully released.
The solution is to back out whatever change they made yesterday which borked this dependancy.

Anyway, according to http://maemo.org/packages/view/python2.5-minimal/ the python2.5-minimal version required is currently in both extras-testing and extras-devel, so you could try enabling one of those temporarily.

There is really an issue related to python2.5 and python2.5-minimal.
python2.5 was somehow promoted automatically but python2.5-minimal wasn't. It is really strange extras accepting promotions with broken dependencies.

Hi slvr32, can you change the priority of this bug? because its a very big problem since we cant install others apps that depends of this python package that was wrongly promoted...
all users that make a upgrade to PR1.2 or a hard reset cant install nothing...
I just wanted to actually file a bug report, since talking about the problem on the forum doesn't necessarily get things fixed :-p

as all we now, there r 3 types of app. sources:
1)- Extras ( final release and stable)
2)- Extras-testing. ( for developers & risky)
3)- Extras-deve. ( for developers & risky)
i updates my N900 tp PR 1.2, and really very happy with it but so far , it has limited numbers of app. ( in Maemo select & Ovi app.)
when we expect from the developers ( Extras-testing & Extras-devel) to finalize all these pythons issues and released officially under the defult application manager (extras).
We need stable and official application rather than taking the risk with testing develpment.
Plz , looking forward for good news.
