All the apps I mentioned - Media Player, Media Streamer/Rhapsody, Canola, FM Radio, Park WiFi - ARE developed by the same software company - Nokia - and there is zero consistency!

Can locally stored media be added to the Rhapsody library?

Duly noted for all but Canola which I believe was developed by a Brazilian software house.

Canola is developed by INdT - Instituto Nokia de Tecnologia, aka Nokia Institute of Technology - in Brazil.

So far my experience with Rhapsody on the N800 is excellent. I've been a subscriber for about 3 yrs now and enjoy their service. It's much better to have access to just about all music on a subscribtion..at first I thought it's better to "own" the music, but no longer..doesn't matter when anything you want to listen to is available for the most part.

Just tested over Cingular GPRS-- bleah. Major dropouts. Player unresponsive. I'm not terribly surprised, though.

Just found out about Park WiFi -- I recalled articles on Nokia's roll-out of free wi-fi in some parks, but did not know they have a client application for it. Alas, it does not install out-of-the-box on N800 -- does anyone know where to get the libxau0 that it needs? I don't necessarily want to add a full 770 repository.

Try searching the forum for libxau0 - you aren't the first to be caught by that annoying dependency.
